...you have inspired me to rebirth my blog. Which, interestingly enough, I was considering with deep regard at about 1:00am this morning - while I was having trouble falling asleep.

I have had a guilty pleasure crush/fascination with #CharlieSheen for as long as I can remember. And with all the craziness that is surrounding my teen heartthrob, I can only grab a bucket of popcorn and watch. I mean, let's be real. That's what Charlie's doing! He's not spazzing out about all this nonsense. He's not worried about what will become of him.

**sidebar** Let's not get into the "but he should be worried" discussion. We know he should

be. Not the point. Save it for another time, people.

Screw the damn news. Monday's will now be my day to complain about crap that just makes me angry. In the words of Peter Griffin... "You know what really grinds my gears??

Turn Signals

Let me just nip something in the bud right now... When you turn on your turn signal, that does NOT immediately give you the right of way.

I am sick and damn tired of near accidents everyday of my life because stupid SOB's want to get in front of me, and expect ME to just stop driving so they can do so.

Which brings me to my NEXT turn signal beef... USE THEM! I am not psychic. I do not know when you want to turn, where you want to turn, that you need to change lanes, etc. I realize there is a lot of effort involved with needing to engage the turn signal, what with having to exit the vehicle to do so...

Obviously, I am not referring to when you are in a turn lane. Clearly you are turning. (Psst... still illegal not to use them... FYI)

Women's Restroom

Ladies... ::shaking head:: A public bathroom in a shared office building is NOT the place to be getting ready for work. Yes, many of us will reapply lipstick/gloss during the day. We may even re-tousle our hair. But I should NOT see a makeup bag... And I for DAMN sure should not see a CURLING IRON PLUGGED IN!!

Are you effing kidding me?! Number one, you do not live here - other people need to use this space. How rude of you to take up the entire counter of a two sink bathroom! Number two, GROSS! Why would you even want to be applying makeup and such in a public restroom?! You don't know when the last time that sink was cleaned. You don't know anything about the other people who have touched the sink. Lordy, you don't even know what was done ON the sink! (I'm just saying... it's possible...)

Passive-Aggressive Behavior

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph... Grow the hell up! I am so TIRED of seeing/hearing/involvement in passive-aggressive behavior. For cripe sake, GROW A PAIR! If you have something to say, then say it! Well wait... say it to the person it pertains to.

It happens so SO often. Someone isn't happy with a certain situation/comment/etc... But rather than address the concern with the person one is mad at, (s)he will be bitchy and snotty and cop an attitude with someone else about the situation.

I'm sorry... what does this accomplish?

I'll tell you what it accomplishes. It guarantees that you have PISSED ME OFF! ESPECIALLY because a passive-aggressive person will never make any mention at all to the person (s)he is mad/upset with.

Effing pathetic!

And so we are clear... ::big smile:: I am NOT being passive-aggressive about any situation. I will be addressing the situation which caused this rant later today.

WORLD CUP WINNER PREDICTED

The big deal: PAUL IS AN OCTOPUS!!

Evidently, a pretty damn lucky octopus, at that. As it were, Pauly has not made an incorrect prediction during the 2010 World Cup. Paul's green run could be attributed to his two and a half year hiatus - as he hasn't been asked to make a prediction in a non German game. (PS - Germany will be Uruguay).

WHAT?!? This is about as ludicrous as that damn Punxsutawney Phil!

Let me explain a couple of things to you, people...

Spring begins on March 20/21... That is six weeks after Groundhog Day
If Phil sees his shadow, there will be another six weeks of winter

Maybe you're just not getting this yet... EITHER WAY - IT IS THE SAME RESULT! And this friggin rodent gets a nationally recognized holiday. Insanity!

I digress. Let me paint you a picture about my theory of this silly octopus and his "predictions".

German flag: Black/Red/Yellow - Three horizontal stripes
Uruguay flag: Blue/White - Eight horizontal stripes - Sun in upper left corner
Spanish flag: Red/Yellow - Three horizontal stripes - Coat of Arms in middle
Netherlands: Red/White/Blue - Three horizontal Stripes

Now, let's backtrack a bit... The octopus has NOT made an incorrect prediction yet this year. Germany has only lost two games. The first to Serbia... flag resembles Netherlands. The second to Spain... flag resembles Germany. Paul picking Serbia to win is the exception to the rule. The octopus is attracted to Red/Yellow combos. Sure, Spain may win the World Cup - but the octopus just likes the flag's color combo.

Period.

(PS - the octopus' track record always has one wrong prediction...)

Yay! The news picked up today. Up for discussion now... Newborn babies, Blago accusations, more Lindsay.

First on the chopping block - Turkmenistan Airlines, flight number T5-551

Passengers and crew certainly got their money's worth on the three hour flight from Ashgabat to Amritsar. As it turns out, a 25 year old woman left a gift in the lavatory.

Ladies and gentleman, this is your captain speaking. We are preparing our decent into Amritsar. The current weather is clear and a balmy 105 degrees. Enjoy the air conditioning in the airport, while you can. Oh, and a newborn baby was found in one of the toilets. If you feel this child may be yours, please see the flight attendant upon departure. Thank you.

The worst part of this story - I know, what could be worse than giving birth to a child in mid-air... in a dirty toilet... and leaving her there? The WORST part of this story is that the toilet had to be REMOVED from the plane and rushed to the hospital WITH the baby because paramedics could not remove the poor infant. She had to be CUT OUT of the toilet!!!

Presently, the baby is in critical condition. The mother is in the same hospital, and is "stable". Investigators are waiting for the doctors to declare her "medically fit" before questioning.

VOTE FOR BLAGO IN 2012!!

During day 21 of the Blagojevich trial, former Deputy Governor Bob Greenlee dropped a bombshell in court today. Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich had aspirations to run for President in 2016.

Duh!

Anyone who paid any attention to any information or "information" of, by, or about Blago knows that he wanted to be President. My 2-year-old knows that he wanted to be President!

I'm sorry - but I am a vocally open proponent of Rod Blagojevich from the get go. Nevermind that I think he did a WORLD of good for this state. But the information and "information" being used in this trial is so sketchy. I can't WAIT until he get his proverbial "day in court" and we hear these FBI tapes in their entirety. Anyone can make anything look or sound a certain way if you are only offering up some of the information. And with regard to his aspirations of Presidency, Senate, Ambassadorships, etc... What is the big deal? I am quite certain that any other state/Governor would likely have had the same thoughts. Of course, he'd want a better gig. I know I would! The question is, was "pay to play" his idea or was it brought to him, as is suggested by some of the tapes we have been allowed to hear (prosecution screw up #1).

Bring on the defense!!!

My apologies, in advance. Today is a slow news day. It didn't start that way - but once I started researching my topics of discussion... I discovered that there wasn't much humor involved. Bummer. So, I present you with two of my go-to topics: Lindsay Lohan and D-Pete. ::applause::

Let's start with LiLo, again... shall we?

Lindsay... sweetie... When you tell the judge - in court - "I don't want you to think I don't respect you"... it's probably NOT a good idea to march around SoCal telling anyone who will listen that [Judge Marsha Revel] is a "fucking bitch."

LiLo's statement stems from her belief that the judge was trying to make an example out of her. Perhaps. Similar cases did not garner the defendant more than 30 days in jail.

Or maybe (this is gonna be CRAZY!) the judge see's that Lindsay has a problem (track record here, people!) and is doing whatever is in HER power to help.

Regardless, Linds... YOU might not think you have a problem, but your FRIENDS are on the record as to thinking this will push you off the deep end.

to begin today; however, due to questions involving hearsay evidence the trial has

been postponed. Or is that lucky??

Peterson's attorneys made a request to have Petey released during the appeal

process, citing that he has the right to a "fair and speedy trial."

I don't know about that.....

Lindsay, Lindsay, Lindsay... For as many times as you have told the judicial system to fuck off, you sure were a bit TOO emotional at your sentencing, yesterday. Perhaps the judge didn't find your manicure very funny??

For those of you who missed it... 90 days in jail plus 90 days IN rehab. Fortunately for you, your 90 days will probably only equal about 20 due to prison crowding. I guess being a celebutante on the Golden Coast comes with more perks than we were previously aware. I know that here in Illinois, our jails aren't that crowded yet.

The post office is at it, again! Currently up for negotiations. Okay... request... is a postage stamp increase of 2 cents. Wait a minute... didn't we just get a 3 cent increase, last year??

I think it's high time that the USPS re-evaluate it's purpose. At some point, we are seriously going to need to accept that we are in an internet age, and the need to mail payments, letters, etc has just long gone. Standard cost cutting measures - such as cutting jobs and raising fees - is not going to dig you out of your $7 BILLION hole.

The rate increase will be across the board, so we will be paying more for all USPS activities. Word on the street is that the hike will only generate an additional $2.5 billion. So - we're still down more than $4 billion.

My suggestion to Stephen M. Kearny - postal VP - would be this:

Follow in the footsteps of many other industries. Reduce the days in a work week. There is very little demand and/or need for daily mail delivery. Most consumers receive only junk mail, at this point. I can vouch for many a folks whom would rather not receive the "ads" on a daily basis. To refute the argument that some people do need to mail overnight or next day. I assure you, we use UPS or FedEx for these services. For those who don't, they would.

Take a step back. This is no longer about PROFIT - this is about STAYING ALIVE. Cut what needs to be cut, but stop making consumers pay more. This is truly a vicious circle. If you keep raising the prices, the bulk of your business (vis a vie business mail) will likely end. I can see a future where all companies require e-statements... I can see the mailing of advertising to be discontinued.

The moral of the story... don't bite the hand that feeds you!!

This, I disagree with 100% - HOWEVER, I DO agree with forcing a child to be immunized against infectious diseases if the parent has any intention to EVER take the child out of the home. I'm sorry, but you don't get to make a "decision for your family" when that "decision" affects unsuspecting families.

I don't believet that a 12 year old boy has the brains to make decisions about his health, especially when it is a life or death issue. If 12 year olds were allowed to make decisions like that , the world would surely be in trouble. The reason the mother is not letting him get chemo is because she did not like the fact that he got sick with it. There are TWO parents and she is the only one who is making decisions. The courts are in place to protect minors and that is exactly what they are doing. If the mother did not like how sick he got with chemo, if she continues what she is doing, she will know the pain of watching her child suffer a very painful and maybe needless death. I stillsay toknow the facts, before forming an opinion. I don't believe that anyone has the right to decide when someone lives or dies!!!!!

...but allowing the judge to decide that the child has to go through Chemo is just that - - deciding whether someone lives or dies.

That said - to the best of my research... both parents objected to the chemo. So to say that a family's decision "based on [roman catholic] religious reasons" to seek "alternative treatment" is "medical neglect" is what is nuts.

My final thoughts are this - - now that we have allowed the courts to make a decision over our wishes - specifically, our RELIGIOUS wishes - we have opened the door to the courts to begin overruling anything where "religious beliefs" are involved.

Sad.

Let me start by saying that I spent an AMAZING day at the zoo yesterday. I could not have asked for better weather. Crazy factor - ran into someone we knew as soon as we got there. Nutso, on a Tuesday!

I've got to give it to Adam. I didn't get any ear piercing screaming last night. Although, I still can't figure out why everyone adores him. And how about the last song? Was I the only one who had no idea what he was wearing??

Ooh, and before I forget... WHAT THE HELL WAS RANDY WEARING?!?!?! Plaid and polkadots? Really?? I'm trying SO hard to find a picture... No worries. I'm sure you all saw. Ridiculous - that's all I have to say about that.

I felt like Kris had the better performances all around. In regards to his song #2. I was VERY disappointed in the judges. He didn't pick the song, so how can he be critisized for it being to slow for the evening. What, he's supposed to rock it out and then be told "that's not what the song is about"... He can't win for trying.

Final song - not too impressed. It was clearly written for a woman to sing. Also, not sure about some of the lyrics... hard to understand. What happened to the songwriting contest? I was listening for it all year to send something in. I guess Cara trumps the budding lyricists...

My pick? Kris. I am an open Adam disliker. I would not buy his album and I would change the radio station if he ever was aired. Kris, on the otherhand - I'd buy his album.
